This Year's Birthday Cake

I love to make my kids their birthday cakes and this year my oldest turned 5 and he wanted a Buzz Lightyear cake. I faced my fear of fondant for this one, and thanks to my sister-in-law, who has experience with it, she gave me tips on how to use it. My son was ecstatic when he saw the cake. The bottom layer was chocolate with chocolate buttercream and the top was butter cake with chocolate buttercream. Yum Yum.

My First Blog

I never thought that I would be starting my own blog, I'm not even sure what I want to really blog about yet. I just think that this could be a good outlet for me to showcase my artistic talents and talk about the things that I love, like knitting and crafting, as well as whatever is peaking my interest at the moment. Hopefully this will turn into something that brings happiness to those who read it as well as to the writer. So here we go.
